GETTY Arsenal could have signed Monaco star Kylian Mbappe That’s according to Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague who Arsene Wenger refused to sanction a payment of around £7.5m. He wrote on Twitter: “18 months ago Wenger met Mbappe, when 17, and his family. “They wanted a commission of €7-8m to go to Arsenal and logically Wenger said no.” After Arsenal snubbed the chance to sign him, Mbappe has since gone on to become one of Europe’s hottest prospects.
