Arsenal transfer news: Shearer slams Wenger over £100m duo and failed Lemar move
Sanchez was heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer with just under a year left on his Gunners contract. Manchester City are said to have had two bids turned down for the Chile international, the highest thought to be worth £60million. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was sold to Liverpool in a £35million, was also out of contract, along with playmaker Ozil. And Shearer believes Arsenal have made a huge mistake by keeping Sanchez and Ozil as they risk losing £100m worth of players for free next year. Shearer also slammed the Gunners for withdrawing their £92m offer for Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar in the closing stages of the window. GETTY
