Sanchez, 28, has just ten months remaining on his current contract at Arsenal and looked destined to join Manchester City on deadline day. City had a £55million bid, which included £5m in add-ons, accepted by the Gunners for the Chile international. But Arsenal rejected their rivals’ offer after failing to land Monaco winger Thomas Lemar in a £92million deal, with the player himself rejecting a move.
