Arsenal news: Failed Thomas Lemar deal shows Arsene Wenger is dated - Joleon Lescott
That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester City and England defender Joleon Lescott. Arsenal bid £92million for Monaco winger Lemar to allow Alexis Sanchez to complete a move to Manchester City. Monaco accepted the offer but Lemar chose not to sign for the Gunners with just hours left of the window, which meant Sanchez stayed. This call came just a week after Wenger had said a deal for Lemar was “completely dead” after seeing an offer of around £45million rebuffed.
