GETTY Atletico Madrid are desperate to sign Diego Costa Diego Simeone penned a contract extension at Atletico Madrid after being assured the club would sign Diego Costa. The Chelsea striker is currently AWOL in Brazil and refusing to train with the Blues. And the Daily Mirror say Simeone, who will now stay at Atletico until 2020, only signed after being promised Costa will arrive in January. The La Liga giants are under a transfer ban but will be able to sign players again in the new year.
