Premier League news: Arsenal vs Liverpool could be moved to Christmas Eve

GETTY Arsenal may be forced to play Liverpool on Christmas Eve if Sky Sports have their way Sky Sports will announce in October that one Premier League match will be held on December 24, the first time for 22 years that any top-flight game will have been scheduled on the date. The only previous Christmas Eve Premier League match was Leeds United v Manchester United in 1995, which also took place on a Sunday. Sky declined the invitation to show games on Christmas Eve on 2000 and 2006, but are now thought keen to take up their option, with the Reds’ visit to the Emirates their first choice.
