Liverpool oppose plan to switch Arsenal trip to Xmas Eve

Liverpool supporters have expressed their concerns over potentially moving their trip to Arsenal to Christmas Eve – with the club reportedly set to oppose any proposal. The match is currently scheduled for 3pm on December 23 but, according to The Telegraph, Sky Sports are considering showing at least one match on Christmas Eve with the Gunners against the Reds the standout clash. Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year and, if Sky Sports go ahead with plans to show a ‘Super Sunday' match on that day, it will be the first time in 22 years that a Premier League game has been played on that date.
