Arsenal news: Shkodran Mustafi facing long spell out injured after suspected ’muscle tear'
Mustafi started for the Germans against Azerbaijan but went down clutching his right thigh and groin area in the 36th minute. The 25-year-old centre-back, who has started Arsenal’s last four league games, was helped off the pitch by medical staff and appeared to be in great discomfort. And after the match his manager Joachim Loew feared the Gunners defender could be out 'for a long time’. He told reporters: "I think Mustafi has a muscle tear. It looks a bit more serious. “A hamstring injury to a muscle tear, we have to wait for the exact diagnosis, but he'll probably be out for a long time."
