Chelsea eye shock January move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly asked Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud to move to Stamford Bridge. France international Giroud came close to leaving the Gunners in the summer and was a target for Everton. However, Arsene Wenger resisted selling the 31-year-old in order to keep competition for places high at the top end of the pitch. But now Don Balon have claimed that Chelsea boss Conte is keen on Giroud and will try and snare him away in January. The Blues currently only have two recognised strikers within their ranks, Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi, and reports suggest Conte is looking for an additional option.
