Arsenal transfer news: Gunners could announce next summer signing before Wednesday ARSENAL are set to complete the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria before Wednesday. By Alex Harris / Published 16th June 2018 The Gunners have agreed a €30m (£26.2m) fee with Sampdoria for defensive midfielder Torreira. He has a €25m (£21.9m) release clause in his contract but Arsenal are willing to pay a premium so they can spread out the payments. Torreira - currently on World Cup duty with Uruguay - has agreed personal terms and is expected to undergo a medical soon. Arsenal have doctors on standby in Russia to finalise the swoop.
