Arsenal were heavily criticised last season for their performances at the back. Shkodran Mustafi took the brunt of the criticism, while Laurent Koscielny also came under fire. The season ended terribly for the latter, though, as he suffered an Achilles injury that ruled him out of France's World Cup campaign in Russia.
