Opinion: Arsenal missing out on signing 6ft 2in ace would actually be a blessing in disguise
Barcelona have set the asking price for Arsenal and Tottenham target Andre Gomes at £20m, according to Spanish outlet Sport, via the Daily Mirror. What's the latest, then? The report says that Gomes is one of a number of players at the Nou Camp who is surplus to requirements and Barcelona wish to sell him to the Premier League, with the north London rivals both waiting to pounce. It claims that the Gunners are unwilling to meet the relatively modest asking price for the Portuguese international, raising the possibility that he may move to Tottenham.
