'Give him a lifetime contract' - Many Arsenal fans hail 'future club legend' after announcement
What an incredible rise Gabriel Martinelli has enjoyed. After joining Arsenal from Brazilian side Ituano last summer for a fee in the region of £6m, the 18-year-old has taken to English football like a duck to water. In just 23 appearances across all competitions for the first-team, Martinelli has bagged an impressive ten goals, including one particularly awesome solo strike against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. And that goal may well have played a huge part in the club announcing that the Brazilian has been named their player of the month for January, taking 49% of their vote according to Arsenal's official Twitter account.
