Mikel Arteta set to make 'centre-back cull' at Arsenal ahead of next season
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is planning to axe a number of centre-backs when the summer transfer window eventually opens. Arteta is plotting a squad revamp at the Emirates after what has been a miserable campaign for his side, who are currently languishing down in eighth place. While Champions League qualification is seemingly out of their reach, the Gunners boss will be desperate to at least secure Europa League football next season and boost his summer transfer budget. Another way he can raise funds, however, is by offloading a few of his underperforming stars. The Times claim he is looking to sell some of the seven centre-backs at his disposal, along with left-back Sead Kolasinac....
