Paul Ince slips up when making Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp Arsenal claim
Paul Ince made a slip-up when making a claim about Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp. The former forward was on punditry duties when the news broke that Manchester City midfielder David Silva would be getting a statue in his honour as he heads to Real Sociedad. But Ince was not impressed, suggesting other stars were more deserving. “When you look at the Henrys and Bergkamps, he’s up there,” the 52-year-old said live on TV. “But I don’t see a statue of Bergkamp or Henry outside the stadium, so that’s a bit over the top.” Ince, though, has forgotten that there are states of the Gunners’ top scorer and Dutch forward.
