Man Utd 'offered Willian two-year contract’ before he left Chelsea for Arsenal

Willian snubbed Manchester United to join Arsenal from Chelsea this summer. New reports in Brazil have claimed that the 32-year-old rejected the chance to move to Old Trafford as his contract at Stamford Bridge was coming to an end, before signing a three-year deal at the Emirates. Frank Lampard insisted that he had no disappointment over the move having already brought in Hakim Ziyech, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have been left frustrated. The Blues lost to the Gunners in the FA Cup final earlier this month with Willian watching from the stands in his last outing as a player for the club he joined back in 2013.
