Gabriel Magalhaes latest as Arsenal increase bid to see off Man Utd and Napoli
Arsenal are yet to agree a deal with Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes. The Gunners are looking to improve their defence after a difficult Premier League season in which they finished way down in eighth, which marked their worst domestic season since 1994/95. However, the FA Cup final triumph over Chelsea did secure a positive end to the campaign, which would also have given a boost to the transfer budget handed to Mikel Arteta. Gabriel, 22, looks certain to leave Lille before the transfer window slams shut, and according to club president Gerard Lopez he has not been short of offers.
