Arsenal board and Mikel Arteta 'in love' with Houssem Aouar who can leave Lyon
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and the club’s hierarchy are reportedly “in love” with Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, who could be available for £54million this summer. Aouar, 22, enjoyed a superb season at the heart of Lyon’s midfield, inspiring Rudi Garcia’s men to the semi-finals of the Champions League. He was one of the French outfit’s star performers in their last-16 and quarter-final victories over Juventus and Manchester City, before suffering a 3-0 defeat against eventual champions Bayern Munich in the last four.
