Arsenal could lose FA Cup hero Emiliano Martinez for £20m amid Bernd Leno return
Arsenal are reportedly willing to listen to offers for £20million-rated goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer. The 27-year-old deputised brilliantly for Bernd Leno after he was injured shortly after Project Restart, helping the Gunners win the FA Cup. But with Mikel Arteta’s No. 1 back up to full fitness, Martinez is likely to stand down and could now even be sold. According to The Athletic, the departed Raul Sanllehi wanted £20m for the Argentine stopper. But Martinez himself wants the club to recognise his decade long loyalty and hopes they will reduce their asking price to closer to £10m.
