Emiliano Martinez offered two escape routes from Arsenal as Villarreal join race
Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been offered an escape route from the Emirates with Schalke joining Villarreal in the race to sign him. The 27-year-old was in goal as the Gunners beat Liverpool on penalties to win the Community Shield at Wembley on Saturday. And he impressed last season after standing in for No 1 Bernd Leno, keeping nine clean sheets in 24 games and helping Mikel Arteta’s side win the FA Cup.
