Chris Sutton brands Aubameyang's new Arsenal deal 'worst signing' of summer
Chris Sutton has labelled Arsenal ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the “worst signing” of the summer after putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates. Aubameyang looked likely to leave the Gunners upon the expiry of his contract in the summer, only to extend his stay in north London when they secured Europa League qualification by winning the FA Cup. Having scored 29 goals in 44 appearances last season, the Gabon international’s new £250,000-a-week deal was seen as a major coup for Arsenal, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly circling.
