Arteta breaks silence on Partey leaving Arsenal exposed for Spurs goal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has claimed Thomas Partey was wrong to walk off the pitch and leave his side exposed on the counter-attack for Tottenham Hotspur 's second goal in the north London derby. Partey had suffered an injury and attempted to sprint back onto the pitch to help out but pulled up once again. Speaking after the game, Arteta was asked whether the midfielder was wrong to leave the pitch in the first place and replied: 'Of course [he was wrong to come off]. 'I want him on the pitch doing whatever he could for the team in that situation because nobody is expecting he is outside the pitch. Anyway, he could not carry on playing, he was in a lot of pain and it is what it is....
