Ian Wright spots damning Arsenal stat which shows why tactics are not working
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has pinpointed a stat which was brought up by Mikel Arteta that shows why his tactics are not working. The Gunners lost 2-0 to bitter rivals Tottenham in Sunday’s North London Derby. Arsenal enjoyed possession for large spells of the game, but failed to make any real clear cut chances to challenge Spurs. Speaking after the game, Arteta highlighted how many crosses his side managed to put into the box as some kind of consolation. But Wright thinks that such numbers show exactly why the Spainard’s system is not doing the job at present. “With the crosses as well, I think Mikel was very happy with 34 crosses,” he said on MOTD2.
