Man City star Mahrez left surprised by Alex Runarsson's action before howler
Manchester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez has outlined a mistake in Alex Runarsson’s positioning. The Algerian winger scored his side’s second goal of the match at the Emirates against Arsenal on Tuesday evening as he took advantage of some questionable positioning from the opposition goalkeeper. The Icelandic stopper failed to catch a powerful free-kick from Mahrez at his near post, inadvertently pushing the ball into the net under little pressure. Mahrez has now admitted that he was left surprised by Runarsson even before he made the mistake that proved vital in the comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.
