Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal transfer plan remains the same despite recent wins

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal will not alter their January transfer plans despite a recent upsurge in form which has seen them record back-to-back Premier League wins. The Gunners picked up their first victory in almost two months at home to Chelsea on Boxing Day, with a much-improved display ensuring they ran out 3-1 winners against their London rivals. And they followed that up by grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 win away at Brighton on Tuesday to end the year on a positive note. Before the Chelsea victory, Arsenal had suffered their worst start to a season for 46 years, losing eight of their first 14 games and hovering just above the relegation zone.
