6 failed transfers of the January window as Liverpool and Man Utd miss out
Premier League clubs enjoyed mixed reviews as the January transfer window slammed shut. The big business came from Liverpool, who signed two centre-backs in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak to slot into their defence. While the other big moves of the day were Reds forward Takumi Minamino’s loan to Southampton and Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock’s loan to Newcastle. Brighton also managed to steal Moises Caicedo from Manchester United while Everton signed Josh King from Bournemouth. But the champions missed out on some business as well as Tottenham, Chelsea and other top-flight clubs.
