Mikel Arteta's stance on playing Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard in same XI

Mikel Arteta insists Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard are capable of playing together at Arsenal - despite both men operating primarily as No.10s. Odegaard sealed a loan move to the Gunners from Real Madrid last week, joining Arteta’s side until the end of the season after growing frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu. The Norwegian was given a 10-minute cameo off the bench in last Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United, replacing Smith Rowe late on to make his Arsenal debut at The Emirates.
