Sagna's 'peace' comments backfire as Arteta drops Aubameyang for Spurs clash
Bacary Sagna’s comments regarding Mikel Arteta bringing “peace” to Arsenal appear to have backfired. Arteta replaced Unai Emery at the Emirates in December 2019 and has achieved a turnaround in the eyes of many. Though it seems to have been thrown into disarray with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped to the bench for the north London derby against Tottenham. Arteta confirmed the decision was made for “disciplinary reasons” while a Gunners spokesperson said it was due to a 'breach of pre-match protocol”.
