Inside “very quiet” Arsenal dressing room as Gunners dumped out of Europa League

Bernd Leno has revealed the mood in the dressing room was “very quiet” after Arsenal’sEuropa League semi-final defeat to Villarreal. The Gunners were dumped out of the competition on Thursday night after failing in their bid to overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit against old boss Unai Emery. Mikel Arteta’s men hit the post twice but were unable to find the breakthrough as the sides played out a frustrating 0-0 draw at the Emirates. After the match, Arsenal’s dressing room was a picture of despair, with German stopper Leno revealing you could hear a pin drop among the players.
