Arsenal 'keen' on Barcelona outcast Emerson but may face £21.5m stumbling block
Arsenal have been linked with a summer move for Brazil International defender Emerson Royal this summer - but there is confusion over his position at Barcelona. The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan with La Liga rivals Real Betis, who had also agreed to a joint financial operation with the Catalan giants on his initial signing. Emerson may have impressed during his two full seasons at Estadio Benito Villamarin, but the finances at Barcelona might force them to consider offers on his official return.
