Nuno Tavares travelling to London ahead of Arsenal medical and £8.5m transfer
Nuno Tavares is reportedly travelling to London on Thursday to complete a medical at Arsenal and seal his switch to the Emirates. The Gunners have agreed a deal with Benfica to sign Tavares, 21, for an initial £7million plus a further £1.5million in add-ons in the summer transfer window. While he mainly operates at left-back, the youngster is also capable of playing on the opposite side and will therefore provide Mikel Arteta with some much-needed versatility in defence. And according to Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes, Tavares is due to travel to London on Tuesday to complete his dream move to the Premier League.
