Welcome Simone! | Boye joins Arsenal
We are delighted to announce that Simone Boye Sorensen has joined us from FC Bayern Munich. The 29-year-old defender started her career with Jernlose IF in Denmark and in 2012 she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she played for the UTSA Roadrunners before returning to her Danish club after the American season. Simone signed for Danish Elitedivisionen side Brondby IF in 2013, where she played predominantly as a central midfielder and led the team to the UEFA Women’s Champions League, before eventually receiving the captain's armband.
