Arsenal fans rejoice as Willian finally leaves club and saves Gunners £20million

Willian has saved Arsenal £20million by cancelling his £240,000-a-week contract to move back to his boyhood side Corinthians. The Brazilian still has two years left on his Arsenal deal, but he has torn up the contract and returned to Corinthians on Monday evening. The 33-year-old will also take a 70% pay cut to rejoin Corinthians, who he left for Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007 after only spending one year with the senior team. Arsenal executives are rumoured to be amazed by Willian's unselfish gesture, according to Sky Sports. But Willian's form has struggled in North London, and Gunners fans are rejoicing at his exit.
