UFC champion Francis Ngannou hits out at "bull**** excuses" from FIFA over AFCON
UFC Heavyweight Champion has slammed FIFA over its bull**** excuses in trying to postpone the Africa Cup of Nations. The rapidly spreading Omicron variant of Covid-19 has made those in charge fearful of a greater outbreak of cases as clubs suffer an increasing number of players ruled out by the virus. FIFA president Gianni Infantino, along with governing bodies like the Premier League, has been among those in favour of postponing AFCON for a third time. But Ngannou, who clinched the UFC Heavyweight belt earlier this year, believes it is “disrespectful” for FIFA to postpone it when other tournaments have been allowed to continue worldwide.
