Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was once called an “idiot” by a Borussia Dortmund teammate due to his disciplinary problems prior to joining Arsenal. The former Arsenal captain’s time at the Emirates came to an anticlimactic end this week as he joined Barcelona on a free transfer. Aubameyang, 32, was the Gunners’ star player during his first two-and-a-half seasons in north London, but his relationship with manager Mikel Arteta took a sour turn this season as a result of off-field disciplinary issues.
