Arsenal Launching £45M Bid For Karim Benzema
It has been reported that Arsenal will make an opening bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this week. The Daily Mail says the Gunners have been linked with a move for the France international for much of the summer. And they will now make a formal offer for the 27-year-old in the wake of their 2-0 defeat to West Ham yesterday. The Gunners lacked a cutting edge up front with Olivier Giroud struggling to make an impact an Arsene Wenger was forced to bring Alexis Sanchez on for the final 20 minutes despite not being fully fit following the Copa America.
