Liverpool player ratings v Arsenal: Gomez and Mignolet help Reds to well-earned draw
Liverpool drew 0-0 with Arsenal on Monday, and were perhaps unlucky to have only come away from the Emirates Stadium with a point. The Merseyside club created several goal scoring chances in a first half which they largely controlled, pouncing on what was an inexperienced Arsenal back line. Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho came particularly close to breaking the deadlock. In the second 45 minutes the Merseyside club sat deeper, soaking up a lot of pressure from their North London rivals. All round, it was an accomplished away performance from Brendan Rodgers' side.
