England Under-21 squad announcement: Liverpool duo Jordon Ibe and Joe Gomez among 14 uncapped players
Jordon Ibe and Joe Gomez have been called into the England Under-21 squad for the forthcoming matches against the United States and Norway. The Liverpool duo are rewarded for their impressive starts to the season and are among 14 uncapped players in the 23-man party. Manchester United striker James Wilson, Tottenham midfielder Delle Ali are also part of the uncapped group, as is Everton defender Brendan Galloway. Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom has been recognised for his form on loan at Hull City and for some stand-out performances with last season’s U20s.
