GETTY RISING STAR: Gomez has impressed at Liverpool And boss Gareth Southgate admits he had no qualms about picking the 18-year-old after seeing him take his summer move to Liverpool in his stride. Gomez was still learning his trade in the Championship with Charlton last season. But Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers was happy to fast-track the defender into the Premier League after snapping him up for £3.5m.
