Arsenal to return in January for 30m rated deadline day striker target
News has emerged that we were close to securing a striker on deadline day, with a bid for Juventus forward Simone Zaza turned down before the window shut, as reported by talkSPORT. We are apparently planning on returning with a bid for the Italian star in January, but may have to match the Serie A side's 30m (£22m) valuation if we want to lure him away, as reported by The Guardian. Juventus have only recently signed the player outright, with Zaza previously co-owned with Sassuolo. Arsene Wenger seemingly believes they are ready to cash in though, and is hoping to increase our sparse striking options in the winter transfer window.
