Petr Cech pipped to Arsenal Player of the Month award by impressive French midfielder
Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has been voted as the club's Player of the Month for August, the official website has revealed. The Frenchman started in all five games for the Gunners last month and was particularly impressive in the goalless draw against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, where he produced a number of fine tackles to ensure the visitors did not claim all three points. His performance in the club's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace was a hot topic in the media following the game at Selhurst Park as many felt he should have been sent-off after committing a number of fouls throughout his 64 minutes on the field.
