Champions League: Bayern Munich and Chelsea win, Barcelona draw Roma while Arsenal lose

Group E Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw in their Group E fixture against Italian side AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in a match that marked Lionel Messi’s 100th Champions League appearance of his career. Luis Suarez opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute with a slightly lucky goal, which was created when Ivan Rakitic’s shot was deflected off defender Antonio Rudiger.  The lead would only go on to last for ten minutes, as Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi picked out a sublime wonder goal from near the halfway line to pull one back for the home side.
