The Champions League is back underway and Europe’s best sides have been laying down markers for this year’s competition. It was a bad week for the English sides with three of the four suffering defeats – and two of those coming against PSV and Dinamo Zagreb. The Premier League failed to boast a single quarter-final representative last season, and evidence this week suggests that our sides have a real task ahead to better that this time round. It’s early days, but the results have provided some indications as to how Europe’s primary competition may unfold over the next eight months. Here’s five things we learnt this week…
