Liverpool set to rival Arsenal to £15m signing of La Liga outcast
Liverpool are plotting a move to sign Arsenal target Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid after he is likely to be given a very limited role this term, Daily Star reports. The 24-year-old featured a number of times during the preseason, but has found it very hard to break into the first team given that he is fighting for place against Cristiano Ronaldo on the wing. It looks as though the winger is now regarded as surplus to requirements by manager Rafa Benitez and could be given the green light for an exit.
