Edinson Cavani: 'I never pushed for Paris Saint-Germain exit'

Edinson Cavani has insisted that he has never actively tried to leave Paris Saint-Germain, despite another summer of transfer speculation. The Uruguay international joined the French champions in the summer of 2013 and has scored 64 times in 106 games for the Paris side. The striker has been linked with a move away from Laurent Blanc's team in the last couple of transfer windows, with his desire to play in a central area said to be a reason for his unhappiness. Cavani, however, who has scored eight goals in 10 games this season, has denied that he ever wanted to leave. "In football, there are a lot of things that depend not on the footballer but on the club," Cavani told RMC....
