William Carvalho reveals fondness for Arsenal, focused on Sporting Lisbon
William Carvalho impressed for Portugal at the European Under-21 Championship. Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho has revealed his affection for the Premier League, and Arsenal in particular, but remains hopeful of winning the league in his native Portugal. Carvalho, 23, reportedly has a €45 million release clause in his contract with Sporting which runs until 2018 and has attracted the interest of Chelsea and Manchester United in the past. The Portugal under-21 international was named the best player at the 2015 UEFA Under-21 Championship, and revealed where he would prefer to play in the future.
