Video: Watch Mesut Ozil’s brilliant man of the match display for Germany against Georgia
Arsenal fans have had reason to be cheerful over the international break with their stars, so far, avoiding injury and putting on good performances. One man in particular, Mesut Ozil, had a stormer of a display as Germany defeated Georgia 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. Wearing the No.8 shirt, he drifted around the pitch in an attacking midfield role showing the craft and invention we’ve come to expect from the Gunners star. He ended the game with two assists, of sorts, as he won the penalty for Thomas Muller’s opener with some excellent sleight of foot, while a superb pass allowed Max Kruse to give Germany victory.
