Former Arsenal Midfielder Abou Diaby Yet To Feature For Marseille
It has been reported that former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is still to take the field for Olympique Marseille. After being released by Arsenal last summer, Diaby held talks with West Brom ahead of signing for OM. OM coach Michel had hoped to play Diaby in a friendly against Nimes on Friday, only for the midfielder to be pulled out of the game on advice from medical staff. Christophe Baudot, the club's doctor, insists the decision was made with Diaby's long-term fitness in mind. 'We prefer he resume a normal training cycle rather than participate against opposition. He continues to work. 'We expect him to get back to 100% of his potential in all parameters.'
