Ex-Arsenal Striker Van Persie Responds To Retirement Calls

It has been reported that former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has ruled out international retirement. The Fenerbahce forward is part of the Holland squad which has missed Euros qualification. He told De Telegraaf: 'I'm not one to run away from difficult situations, I won't do so now either. 'We will have to bite, for almost a year, on a very sour apple and we must all go through it – the players, the fans, the media, everyone.
