'Hector Bellerin could lose a leg and still be better than Mathieu Debuchy!' - Arsenal fans turn on defender
It appears Arsenal fans aren't best pleased with Mathieu Debuchy. The right-back was given a rare start but was part of a calamitous Gunners performance as they were dumped out of the League Cup at the hands of Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. Goals from Ross Wallace, Lucas Joao and Sam Hutchinson saw the Owls cruise to a 3-0 win over Arsene Wenger's charges, with the visitors rarely threatening in a dreadful performance. Debuchy received much of the criticism from Gunners supporters on social media, with some of the more damning reactions below:
